Good questions, straight answers

Your Questions, Answered

How quickly can you clear a blocked drain?

Same-day service is standard, not the exception. Most Marrickville blockages are cleared the day you call, and an urgent one jumps straight to the top of the run.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes. A blockage doesn't check the calendar before it happens, so we don't either. Weekend and public holiday calls are answered the same as any weekday.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9134 9097 and describe what's going on. We'll run through a couple of questions, then get a time locked into the diary, often that same day.

Are you really open 24 hours?

Yes, genuinely. A real person answers the phone day or night, not a machine and not a call centre reading from a script.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. There's no call-out fee, ever. You pay for the fix, not for us turning up to look at it.

What does "$65 off your first service" cover?

New customers get $65 off their first job with us. It's applied to the fixed price we quote before any work starts.

Can the price change once you start?

No. The price is set and agreed with you before we touch a tool. Whatever the job throws up, that's the figure that lands on the invoice.

How do I pay?

We take the usual methods on the day, and you'll always know the figure in advance, so there's nothing to negotiate on the doorstep.

How local are you, really?

Marrickville is part of our regular run, not a suburb we occasionally drive through. Our crew is on these streets most weeks, working on the drains underneath them.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

As a general guide, everything on your side of the boundary is your responsibility, from the fixtures through to where the pipework ties into the network. Sydney Water takes over from that point outward. If you can't tell which side of that line a blockage falls on, we'll figure it out once we're there.

What suburbs do you service?

Alongside Marrickville, we cover Dulwich Hill, Petersham, Stanmore, Newtown and Tempe, all part of the same regular run.

Why do older Marrickville homes keep getting blockages?

Plenty of the older houses here still have their original earthenware and clay drainage underground. Those pipes crack, sag and lose fall as the decades go by, which is why the same blockage can come back more than once.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. Quality workmanship guaranteed on every job, plainly explained before we leave, not buried in fine print.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. NSW Plumbing Licence #292427C, fully insured, and licensed to work on water and gas alike.

What does the lifetime labour warranty cover?

Our workmanship, for life. If a fix we've done fails down the track, we come back and put it right.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A plunger is worth one try on a simple fixture blockage. Chemical drain cleaners and hired electric eels tend to cause more damage than they fix, and a blockage that keeps returning usually needs a licensed plumber to find the actual cause.
